Kohort Energy joins the British Energy Saving Technology partner network

Kohort Energy LLC, an energy consulting firm based in Mankato, Minn., today announced it has been certified as a distributor/ partner for British Energy Saving Technology (BEST), based in Cornwall, England. The partnership grants Kohort Energy the rights to distribute and service BEST’s complete line of products, including the company’s real-time energy monitoring and efficiency equipment and proprietary cloud-based software.

“Kohort Energy is excited to join the BEST network of commercial energy efficiency providers,” says Aaron Wangen, managing director of Kohort Energy LLC. “BEST and their partner network are redefining commercial energy efficiency, both in developing and implementing advanced equipment and software to help monitor and drive down energy costs, but also in innovative financing options to monetize future energy savings. With the comprehensive, real-time data provided by BEST applications, potential savings can be verified and system-wide energy equipment upgrades can often be achieved with a fairly rapid return on investment.”

“We are proud to welcome Kohort into the ranks of our global partner network,” says Tim McMahon, business development director at BEST. “They have impressed us with their core focus on sustainability and a passion for saving energy. The combination of our technologies and their B2B management and marketing experience is an exciting one, and we can't wait to see the impact they can have for businesses across Minnesota.”

BEST’s core product, Eniscope Energy Monitoring and Management, identifies multi-channel energy use from multiple sources, including electricity, gas, water, and steam. When facility or operations managers make a change in usage, Eniscope will reveal the immediate effect, for better or for worse, displayed in kWh, cost or carbon. It can monitor individual pieces of equipment, isolate energy leaks, expose energy abusers and check the effectiveness of energy-saving products – all in real-time.

Some of the most widely-recognized brands in the world – 7-Eleven, Coca-Cola, IBM, KFC, Shell, Toyota and Volkswagen – rely on BEST energy efficiency products to help them monitor, control and reduce energy use. Case studies for some of these companies can be found on the Kohort Energy website at kohortenergy.com/case-studies.

A representative from Kohort Energy will be attending BEST Partner Training in Tampa, Florida, in February.
